Abstract

Lubricating oils and hydraulic fluids consist of ester or mineral oil contg. 0.5-10, pref. 1-5% of polypropylene glycol of av. mol. wt. 1,000-3,000. The small amt. of polypropyleneglycol increases the life of elastomeric joints in contact with the fluids.
