Abstract

The puzzle is made by printing or fixing a design or picture on a flat sheet cut up to form separate pieces. All cutting lines are straight and in varying directions to give irregular shapes (10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20). Magnetic attraction between the pieces is provided by a magnetic polymer layer in the flexible polymer sheet. A ferromagnetic typically formed from a wire mesh on a cardboard sheet support the pieces. The puzzle is assembled in a frame forming part of the box.
