Abstract

The salad set comprises a fork and a spoon, made of plastic or other suitable material. Each piece is normally separate and can be used individually. When used for serving salad, fork and spoon are joined together at their ends and used as one unit. The joint is formed by a U-shaped clip at one end providing a guide for a tongue on the other end, the legs of the clip being turned inwards to retain the tongue and form a hinge. Equally each end can have a bulb, these being joined by a separate clip fastening over them.
