Abstract

The throttle pedal(1) is connected to a link mechanism(6) which is pivoted around a fulcrum(7). The free end of the lever is joined to two flexible cables. The first flexible cable is joined through a bulkhead(15) to an injection pump so that depressing the pedal increases the flow to the injection pump. The second cable, operates a bell crank lever pivoted about an axis(26) and connected to a second cable(32) and to an operating lever which actuates the hydraulic valve. This valve in the hydraulic control of the automatic gear box corrects for the load variation on the engine.
