Abstract

A disposable container is manufactured in standard sizes and consists of a floor panel (1) which comprises end bars (10, 11) longerons (8, 9, 12, 13) and a number of supporting cross-beams (7). The two ends and two sides of the container are made up of vertical planks which are strengthened by upper and central cross pieces. A container lid is supported by cross-battens (22) on battens (21) fixed to the sides of the container. The container is nailed together and is of use in trades where there is no return traffic and may be disposed of at its destination.
