Abstract

Each frame element (1, 1') has a central bore and four diagonal webs (11, 12, 13, 14) pointing radially outwards and terminating in two arms (15, 16, 17, 18) at right anglesthese form a square shape with a longitudinal slot (19, 20, 21, 22) each side. In the bore is a sliding piece (8), having a rectangular head (9) which enters the slot in another frame element. A grubscrew (28) fits in a tapped hole (27, 30) in the side (31) and its point (29) engages a helical groove (24) in the sliding piece. As the screw is tightened, the sliding piece is pulled back against spring pressure (25, 26) and turns, locking the head behind the slot (20) in the second frame element (1').
