Abstract

A flat sheet (1) of plastic, or other suitable material, is formed into a spital having approximately 1.25 turns, each end passing the common vertical axis (ZZ') to form two curved adjacent surfaces (21, 22). Each free end is curved downwards over a short length to form a stabilising foot (11) and raise the end off the ground. The inner surface is equipped with cushions forming seats (ab) and back rests (bc), the radius of curvature of the spiral being sufficiently large to permit a person to sit and recline inside. Several interconnected strips can replace the single sheet.
