Abstract

The feature of unequal sides of the undulation and with the longer side having an inward concavity, ensure that the pipe, when pushed together, remains in this position, showing an apex of 10 deg.. The ratio of the non-undulated outside diameter to the outside diameter of the undulated part is 1:1,25. The outside diameter 14 and the inclination 16 of the undulation have a ratio of 2,5:1. The pipe can be pushed together to a length, which is 1/5-1/7 of the original length, resulting in a reduction of storing space. Once the undulated part is pushed together, the pipe can be bent and the bend stays in the required position. The pipe does not need any reinforcements or inserts to keep the bend in the required radius.
