Abstract

Natural fruit juice is concd. immediately after extraction; pulverised to pass a 300 mu screen; held in a refrigerated, aseptic receiver; and then filled under pressure into containers which exclude both light and air from the juice. The container is pref. a two-compartment aerosol with juice in a collapsible discharge compartment and an indirect propellant gas compressed in the other compartment to exert pressure on the discharge compartment. The package is lightweight and robust and the juice is preserved without deterioration throughout its container life withut refrigeration.
