Abstract

The shutter positioning device comprises a square section tube with an opening down one side. Inside this tube slides a round tube with notches in it. The round tube is held inside the square tube at the bottom by a hollow peg riveted to it and at the top by a plate placed on top of the round tube and held in place by a spring itself fixed by a hollow peg. In the round tube fits the body of a screw attached to a joining arm. When the arm is pulled by the shutter, the screw moves up the tube, slotting into the notches. No lever or handle is necessary to activate the mechanism, pressure on the shutter itself being sufficient.
