Abstract

A support has transparent gear position marks which define the selectro positions. The selector carries a marker which moves with the selector. This synchronising marker (10) has a translucent coloured window (12) which is approximately the same size as the gear position marks. Part of the window is in a translucent band (13) of different colour, in the line with the gear position marks. The marker can have two bands (13, 13a) of different colours and can be a curtain sliding in slide ways fitted to the support.
