Abstract

Laminated material, esp. for prodn. of adhesive brake plates, consists of a layer of self-bonding adhesive placed between two removable films, one of which can be more easily separated from the adhesive than the other, e.g. two types of silicone-treated paper. The adhesive consists of (1) 40-55 wt.% polyacrylic resin, (2e 30-55 wt.% tackifier and (3e 5-12 wt.% filler. Material has excellent adhesion and flexibility and good resistance to ageing, elevated temps., pressures, water and lubricants.
