Abstract

Rodenticide contain a bait and a poison, together with expanded polystyrene beads. The compositions are less likely to be eaten by domestic animals or children than a simple mixt. of bait and poison. Pref. expanded polystyrene is 20-35% wt. of the compsn. Suitable baits included cereal flours, bakery products and straw pieces. The poison is pref. an anticoagulant, e.g. 0.0375% coumatetralyl, 0.025% coumafene, or 0.005-0.0075% chlorophacinone.
