Abstract

The fixture for the drawing through of the strap of an automobile safety belt system is made from a U-form metal rod (10) with straight ends enclosed by a folded sheet metal jacket (12). This has a window (14) cut out of the folded sheet metal surround jacket (12). To prevent the ends of the metal U-form rod (10) from being pulled out of the jacket (12) when an accident occurs they are bent slightly outwards (15) to partially engage with the edges of the cut out window (14). A single window (14) may be used to accommodate both ends (15) or each end may have a separate window.
