Abstract

The package in the form of a deep bag of conical shape and is made from transparent plastic. The smaller end is sealed and leakproof and has, fitted inside it, a protective sleeve of thick plastic or waxed card. This sleeve prevents the stems damaging the bag and has tapering sides with, if required, the lower end closed off. The flowers are inserted through the top or larger end which is gathered together and bound by a carrying loop. Water or a preservative liquid in the bag preserves the condition of the flowers which may be wrapped at the time of cutting.
