Abstract

Automatic sampler for grains, powders or liquids, at the output of a conveyor or in an overflow, has a sampling chamber (1) with a parallel-sided slot (2) towards the top and a drainage slot (3) with a closure system towards the bottom. This chamber is suspended under a trolley (5). The closure system comprises an inflatable joint protected against abrasion by a membrane. The trolley runs on a rail which is perpendicular to the axis of the conveyor and this allows the chamber to pass into the output flow of material to be sampled.
