Abstract

The connecting elements, which are made from a weldable material, consist of a main pipe section to which a branch pipe is welded approx. centrally along the length of the section and at 90 deg. to it. The branch pipe is slightly arched so that it can be connected to a pipe which is located on a different level. There are two types of connecting elements. The end of one type of element is provided with sleeves which are welded to the pipe ends or alternatively the diameters at the end of the pipes have been increased. The ends of the pipes of the second type of element are plain and fit into the pipe ends of the first type. The ends of the branch pipes of both types of element are sleeved.
