Abstract

Cogged component comprising a bearer and a strip upon it provided with a number of similar cog teeth extending lengthways, the teeth being pressed on to the strip. The strip is flexible and endless, and capable of being mounted on to the bearer by means of bars, and flexibly connected to them. The bearer has two faces incorporating grooves for mounting the strip. The bearer is cylindrical in shape, forming an entity with a hub (32), one end of which incorporates a flange (33) for guiding the strip. The hub is firmly fixed to the bearer shaft over its full length.
