Abstract

The rotor comprises a number of permanent magnet poles which are fixed to a yoke or base. To ensure accurate angular pitching and radial location of these poles, eliminate the need for clamping jigs during the work cycle for bonding to poles to the yoke, an insulation plate is employed. This has recesses with parallel sides and bases. The poles have keyways in their sides and slide into the recesses and are thus located. The whole plate is fixed to the yoke with screws and the poles are additionaly bonded to the yoke, a girth band restrains the poles against centrifugal force.
