Abstract

A cylindrical support sleeve carrying an extended arm orthogonal to the sleeve axis, locates on and around a support column. The sleeve has at its lower point the arm fixed rigidly to a section of the periphery of arc less than 180 deg. and at its upper point a section of periphery of arc greater than 180 deg. These two sections are lined with an anti-slip material, and are connected by a spiral section of sleeve in such a way that the sleeve may be mounted on the column from one side, twisted to align the axes, and the weight on the support arm then locks the sleeve on the column.
