Abstract

The measurement device comprises a support for positioning the objects to be measured, e.g. test tubes containing a blood suspension in the process of sedimentation, the support having means of guiding and marks corresponding to the position of each object. A mobile trolley is linked with a drive system which displaces it along guide rails on the support. The trolley has a photo-electric detector system, mounted on a vertical support, able to detect the height of the upper level of blood particles the detector being linked to a marker system which is able to include a mark corresponding to the height onto a graduated scale.
