Abstract

The packaging is for objects which have a circular central holes. A tubular section of stretchable material (3) is passed through the hole (2) in the object (5). The radius (r) of the tube is slightly less than that of the hole (R) so that it need not be deformed in passing through. The ends of the tube are then pulled downwards and outwards to surround the surface of the object. The tube is held in this position by its own elasticity. The tube of stretchable material is formed with folds (8, 9) that can be gripped to pull the edges downwards.
