Abstract

An operation illumination system with several single lights mounted on swing arms has a central ceiling mounted fixing turntable (10) to which the swing arms (24, 32) of the individual lights (30, 38) are fixed. The mounting turntable (10) is fixed to a rotating cap (16), and mounted flush with the ceiling (20) onto a boss (12) from which the light support arms (14) radiate. A swing arm (40) hanging downwards from the central rotating cap (16) supports ancillary equipment in the form of a supply unit (44). The formulation according to the invention affords a solution to the problem of providing the greatest possible mobility of the single lights while keeping space requirements to a minimum.
