Abstract

The product to be treated flows through a metal tube (1) surrounded by a heat source (2). Between source and tube is a filter device (3), passing virtually without hindrance the heat radiated from the source, but reflecting almost entirely that radiated by the liquid or the tube. The heater can be an electric element, and the filter a quartz tube. There can also be a second external filter round the heater, in turn enclosed by an external housing through which the product to be treated flows. The filter can be movable in the lengthwise direction in relation to the rest of the equipment.
