Abstract

Ring for transferring the belt and/or the tread strip during the manufacturing of tyres has segments distributed over its periphery, for radial displacement towards its interior its interior, in order to grip the belt/tread strip and transfer this from a belt/tread strip drum to a type-building drum, the segments being displaced by working cylinders. The ring of simple construction, has a long working life is easily maintained and the components easily replaced.
