Abstract

The clamp comprises a frame (24) in which the switch or plug unit etc can be located, from which a number of projections (25) extend rearwards, each projection (25) integrally formed with one section (28) of the segmented ring, the ends of each sections (28) provided with a ridged flange (27). Either edge of each projection (25) also has a ridged flange (27) each of latter acting against the wall socket, when the set-segmented ring sections (28) are biased outwards under the action of a spring expansion ring which is in two halves, whose ends have inclined faces, acted upon by corresponding inclined faces of a clamp block upon rotation of a tensioning screw passing through the frame.
