Abstract

A multi-purpose member for use in the building industry which can be made of any appropriate material and although the size and shape can also be varied as required the basic design remains the same, consists of a succession of corrugations (2, 3) on either side of an original median plane (4). The corrugations are inclined in relation to one of the edges of the member (5, 6) at an angle (a) which can vary between (5 deg.) and (65 deg.) bu ideally should be around (45 deg.). Each individual corrugation forms a dihedron with an angle (b) varying from (60 deg.) to (120 deg.). The corrugations (2, 3) are all parallel and are inclined at the same angle in relation to the edge of the member. Several of these basic members can be assembled to form the desired structure.
