Abstract
A DC to DC converter has a transformer (10) with one primary and multiple secondary windings. The supply DC (Vcc) is connected to the primary in series with the power transistor (2). The secondary windings (3, 4) provide the required output voltages (Vs1, 2) and have rectification and filtration (5, 6). The power transistor is driven by a symmetrical square wave generator (7) whose output is modified by a mono-stable circuit (8) that varies its form factor. The form factor control is dependent upon an output voltage that is compared to a fixed reference. This gives a converter with stable multiple outputs independent of input voltage, output load and transformer saturation.
