Abstract
The direct voltage regulator has a series of transistor static inverters controlled by a number of rectangular wave voltages. Each static inverter consists of a main inverter and an auxillary inverter, and the outputs of all inverters are rectified for summation. The sum arising from the main inverters does not alter its sign during the regulating process, whilst the sign of the sum arising from the auxillary inverters alters its sign in accordance with the change in the sign of the difference between the sum of quantities proportional to the output voltages of the main and the auxillary inverters.
