Abstract

The plants are grown in nutrient inside a greenhouse (1). The conductors have insulated casings and are joined parallel with the negative terminal of an electrostatic high-voltage generator. The electrostatic field is situated in the range between two hundred and one thousand volt/metres, and the modulation frequency of the electrostatic field is in the range of seven Hz. or slightly more. The vertical walls of the plant boxes are made of insulating material, and the floor is impermeable to water. Ion generators (23) are positioned at various points giving off negative ions.
