Abstract

Two images are scanned by sensors connected to a common correlator through separate storage devices to determine the relative time displacement of two image signals. The sensors and the correlation are connected to a discriminator to analyse the error voltage produced by the correlator, whereby both sensors are controlled by a generator and the correlator produces the parallax signal by comparing the two image signals. The sensors are light-sensitive solid-state detectors, and the discriminator is connected to each sensor through a scan control unit and the storage device. The control unit is pref. a voltage-dependent oscillator which corrects the scan signals from the storage device in each case.
