Abstract

The sanitary and central heating system water cock uses a standard T section pipe joint as its body. The valve consists of a U shaped plate, perforated and covered with a layer of moulded rubber (10) so as to form a good seal against the inside of the body (1). The straight edge of the U is extended centrally as a shaft (13) provided with intermediate larger sections which fit within the lateral branch of the section and contain a sealing ring (8). The assembly is mounted in a flange and is retained in the body by a stirrup clamp. Spring washers on the clamp screws allow wear to be taken up.
