Abstract

The binding comprises a baseplate (4) fitting onto the ski (1) and having an open sided box (5). This encloses bearing rollers, two lower (16, 17) and one upper (18) forming a guide path each side for curved rockers (15) joined to the locking clamp (2) by a short articulated length (19, 20, 21). A threaded adjustable stay (9) each side pivots (8) on the box and holds the clamp (11). The ski boot sole (6) initially contacts the free end (22) of each rocker, also a pedal (12) on the clamp. As the boot descends, this pedal raises the clamp whilst the rockers move it forward about an arc. Finally, rollers (13) grip on the boot.
