Abstract

The connector block includes test points and a switching facility as well as providing a point for cable termination and distribution. The body of the block is of some, preferably moulded, electrically insulating thermoplastic material. Wiring enters towards the base of the block and is secured by screws with access from the top surface. Conductor strips lead from these points to the block centre where a mobile contact moves vertically down to connect these two strips, acting as a switch. Test points are provided by sprung leaves recessed from the top surface and connected to each of the wire connector points.
