Abstract

The switching component for the telephone installation is a relay with mercury contacts and the excitation of the relay is performed via the collector circuit of a transistor, while the light receiving element of the optoelectronic coupler is connected to the base circuit of the transistor. The light receiving element is a phototransistor unit with a capacitor which is connected between the base and the collector. The base emitter circuit of the phototransistor unit is shunted across the collector emitter circuit of another transistor controlled by a voltage corresponding to the requirements of the optoelectronic coupler.
