Abstract

The detector has a flux generator in a magnetic circuit (2) having an element (7) which can move between a sticking position with a gap, acting upon an alarm or protection circuit. The closed magnetic circuit (2) comprises 3 arms (3, 5, 6) in the form of 2 E' face to face with an excitation coil (4) on one of the arms (3) and the two other arms (5, 6) being for flux closure purposes. The two E sections are made from different magnetic materials, one being a low Curie point alloy. For each E, the two flux closure arms have different reluctances. The moving element comprises a jumper (7) which forms a path between the two flux closure arms (5, 6). One of these arms (5) is exposed to the ambient environment to be controlled while the other one (6) is thermally insulated.
