Abstract

The countersink tool has an elongate carrier on the lower end of which countersink is mounted by the reception of the carrier in a circular bore of the countersink which extends into a cavity provided with two axially extending driving surfaces. The carrier has two radial projections each of which is provided with a coacting surface lying in a contact with the driving surface when the countersink and carrier are in the operative position. The axially extending driving surfaces are positioned in non circular cavities adjoining the receiving bore, and, when in the operative position, each drive transmitting projection should lie against its respective cavity bottom to transmit axial cutting forces.
