Abstract

The electrical switch for wall or panel mounting is designed to be operated by orthodox finger pressure or by a cord hanging from the switch, and overcomes the disadvantage that operation by the cord may be physically more difficult for one action of the make and break than the other. The body of the switch is basically prismatic in shape and attached to its mounting surface by standard techniques. The part presented to the user is an open 'V' shape, the upper leg of the 'V' being larger than the lower through which runs the operating cord to the rear fixed surface of the switch.
