Abstract

The camera forms an image from X and gamma rays for medical diagnosis, providing high resolution power. The detector and amplifier tube is in bell form and has an external scintillator feeding a multiple electrode read out system and a final electronic signal conditioning unit providing coordinate data for the generated photons. Amplification is obtained by a photomultiplier block made up of an anode phosphorescent layer and a photocathode followed by a microchannel disc and a target with phosphorescent layer feeding the read system. Electron acceleration is by a P.
