Abstract

The grid is used to project a light pattern onto a reference plane in order to produce a pattern of parallel equidistant strips. The lines of the grid are arranged aperiodically with a pseudo-period represented by a given recurrence formula. To manufacture the grid an image of a strip pattern in the reference plane is formed using the same optical system which will project the pattern into the reference plane, whereby the optical system and the reference plane are positioned in the same way as for projection. A photo plate or a film is positioned in a plane representing the optical conjugate of the reference plane relative to the optical system, and the plate or film is then developed.
