Abstract

The radar comprises a rotating transmit-receive antenna and a radar transmitter and receiver providing a video signal. An extractor device has a buffer memory for recording information derived from the video signal by integration and a means of using only information of interest w.r.t. targets located in zones predetermined as a function of their geographical positions. A means of visualisation of the received information has a target memory for display on a TV screen for recording the presence or absence of targets following coordinates provided by a radar coordinate to TV coordinate converter, a memory device for the fixed contours of the airfield landscape and a video mixer which transmits the signals from the target memory to the TV display system in synchronism with the TV scan.
