Abstract

Box for preserving live bait to prevent e.g. rind worm from going off in warm weather comprises an expanded polystyrene body inside which is perforated removable tray mounted on feet, and a removable lid also made of expanded polystyrene. Refrigerating plates e.g. carboxymethyl cellulose may be placed at the bottom of the box in the space beneath the tray. The tray may consist of a frame covered with a very fine mesh. Gripping members may be provided for easy removal of the tray, the bait being placed on top of the tray.
