Abstract

The tool comprises a circular hook blade (1) of rigid material such as metal, concentric to a central portion (2) bearing against the top face of the bottle cap, and the edge of the blade engages under the cap skirt. An upwards or downwards tilting movement then pulls the cap off the spout (6) onto which it has been crimped. The tool can be so shaped as to allow it to be engaged with a mounting hook etc. The design allows cap removal by tilting the bottle in any convenient direction.
