Abstract

The unit comprises at least one block of rectangular cross-section with a bordering surface and a certain dimension vertical to it, and at least one other rectangular-cross-sectioned block with surface connection with the first, with a borering surface and a second dimension vertical to it smaller than that of the first, both blocks having bordering surfaces in a common plane, forming a unit for fitting to a wall, ceiling or other element. The second's density is different from that of the first. There may be further blocks of the two types, exclusively linked in pairs, or with three of one and two of the other. The blocks may be joined together in a frame, and may be made of fibreglass. The critical dimension on one type may be twice that on the other, or two-and-a-half times as great. Dull sounds can be absorbed.
