Abstract

Decorative lamp comprises a transparent container above a light/heat source, filled with a halogenated solvent which has aluminium powder suspended in it. The solvent is pref. of density 1.3-1.7, and is pref. perchloroethylene. Pref. the solvent contains a dye, and the aluminium is in lamellar form. The pref. compsn. of the substance in suspension is: aluminium powder 65%; white spirit 32%; stearic acid 3% and pref. 1 mu g. of substance in suspension is used per kg. of halogenated solvent.
