Abstract

A conductive material comprises 100 pts. wt. of polymethy-vinyldimethylsiloxane gum (I), 20-100 pts. wt. of an electrically conductive filler (II) and 0.5-4 pts. wt. of a dialkylaminomethyl- triethoxysilane (III) as a curing agent. The material has a high electrical resistance at high temp. (80-250 degrees C), the electrical resistance varying sharply with temp. variation. It is useful for mfr. of lower-temp. heating elements intended for working for lengthy periods at 80-100 degrees C, and for de-icing in aviation, ship building and car building. It is useful in heating various liquids and gases. It exhibits reversible relay effect and a high tensosensitivity. It can be shaped into sheets, tubes etc. and is useful in electrical engineering devices, automatic systems, signalization etc.
