Abstract

Decorative lamp comprises a body of polyester resin which is worked to provide numerous internal cleavage planes and fissures reflecting and diffusing the light, obtd. by mould casting and increasing or decreasing the quantity of catalyst. The resin may be transparent and coloured in any manner. The body is fixed to a base which contains the light source, and which includes means such as feet and a cavity for dissipation of heat produced by the light source and a ballast ring for stabilisation. The base may be made of material providing a decorative appearance, e.g. chrometplated metal, or covered with decorative material, e.g. Cu.
