Abstract

The groove is formed of two parallel rails (14 & 15) and the pins (18) are erected in this groove on the trajectory of the ball. At the end of the groove there is a ring (22) to collect the ball and to return it to the start (12). The groove is mounted on supports so that the height of the groove can be modified progressively. The groove is inclined so that the ball travels up the groove towards the pins and the object of the game is to knock over as many pins as possible. The pins are pivotally mounted and limited in their return movement by adjacent stops. The guide rails are typically seamless tubes.
