Abstract

Strip type socket providing a series of in-line female connectors intended to accept standard printed circuit boards provided with male connectors regularly spaced along one edge, also rigidly holds the board by means of end pieces which mate with the socket and into which the board edges fit. Each female connector is symmetrical and is in the form of a single piece sprung metal socket providing electrical contact to both faces of the circuit board. In line with these individual sockets is a recess intended to take a pin from the board in order to avoid reverse fitting of the board.
