Abstract
Solar radiation is focussed by a fixed semi-cylindrical mirror on to a receiver element travelling in an arc of half the mirror radius in order to remain at the focus as the sun travels across the sky. alternatively the receiver elements is fixed and the whole mirror assembly tracks the sun accross the sky. Solar radiation may be converted to thermal, chemical or electrical energy, and used in domestic heating and industrial uses. The device is of simple design, and may be constructed from cheap materials.
